One of our clients is looking for an experienced and engaging Educational Nanny to support the academic development and well-being of G9 & G10.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and education, ideally with classroom teaching experience, and be passionate about guiding children through key academic milestones, including preparation for the 11+ examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage school pick-ups and after-school routines
- Plan creative and educational activities to inspire curiosity and exploration
- Encourage physical activity, outdoor play, and sports
- Support children’s musical interests and development
- Provide homework assistance and focused support for 11+ preparation (Maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning)
- Engage children in multicultural discussions and activities
- Provide emotional and pastoral support, helping children navigate friendships, build resilience, and develop confidence
- Maintain a clean, organised environment and promote good habits.-
- Travel with the family during school holidays, providing childcare and structured learning activities
- Liaise with parents and the Education Coordinator in the private family office to ensure aligned educational goals and routines.
Key Qualities & Skills - Enthusiastic, creative, and inspiring personality.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Must have strong knowledge of the English national curriculum and experience supporting children through 11+ preparation.
- Deep understanding of educational development, particularly for Key Stage 2.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring children aged 9–11.
- Interest in sports, music, and outdoor activities (musical ability is a plus).
- Multilingual skills (French preferred) are highly advantageous.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with children.
- Flexible and willing to travel or work extended hours, especially during school holidays or while abroad with the family.
- DBS-registered with proven professional childcare experience.
- Educational background in teaching (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) or demonstrable tutoring experience is essential.
- Valid driver’s license and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Working hours - Beneficial if resides near South Kensington for flexible hours
- Term Time: 12:00pm–8:30pm
- School Holidays: 8:00am–8:00pm (flexibility required, especially when travelling)
Salary & Benefits - c. £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
- 28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
