House Manager, Paris (with international travel)
Accommodation provided
Salary: c. €7,000 net per month depending on experience.

One of our private clients requires an exceptional, hands-on House Manager to oversee their private residences, based in Paris and acting as a trusted right hand to the principals.

The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a House Manager who combines polished, high-level management skills with a genuine willingness to roll up their sleeves. Based at the family's principal residence in Paris, the successful candidate will ensure every property is maintained to impeccable, hotel-standard presentation at all times, and will travel regularly to the family's other residences in Europe and internationally.

The principals are looking for someone who can act as a seamless extension of themselves: a person with an innate eye for detail, a natural sense of taste and style in the home, and a real passion for organisation and table service. This is very much a doing role as well as a managing one; the successful candidate will be equally comfortable leading the household team as ironing, reorganising cupboards or checking stock levels themselves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the household to the highest standards across multiple properties
  • Carrying out thorough pre-arrival checks ahead of the family's visits, such as quality control, fridges, stocks, flowers and candles, so that each property feels ready and welcoming
  • Supervising, training and developing the existing household team, including standards of presentation and uniform
  • Hands-on involvement in household tasks, including ironing, tidying and organising cupboards, and managing stock levels
  • Overseeing table service and setting the standard for entertaining at home
  • Managing property maintenance and coordinating contractors, from decorating works to technical repairs
  • Working closely with the principals' Personal Assistant and wider household staff to ensure smooth coordination across all residences
Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience as a House Manager, Head Housekeeper or Butler within a formal UHNW private household, ideally across multiple properties
  • A classically trained, traditional approach to private service, combined with a modern, hands-on attitude
  • An exceptional eye for detail, with genuine taste in interiors, presentation and decorating
  • Highly skilled in table service, housekeeping and the care of fine items
  • A natural leader, confident training and supervising staff while working alongside them
  • Comfortable with an irregular schedule, for example extended working blocks followed by a full week off
  • Happy to travel frequently between properties at short notice
  • Discreet, polished and professional, with an impeccable understanding of the expectations of private service
  • European passport or existing right to work in France required
  • Fluent French
Hours & Package
Irregular hours, structured around the family's schedule and travel, with extended periods of work balanced by extended time off. A one-bedroom apartment is provided, located close to the main residence.

Salary c. €7,000 net per month D.O.E.

We appreciate your interest in this role. Please note, due to the high volume of CVs we receive, we are unable to respond to every application.
