Housekeeper (Afternoons & Evenings)

Salary: c. £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
 
One of our private clients requires an experienced Housekeeper to join their private family household in Kensington. Working afternoons and evenings alongside a long-standing daytime housekeeper, this is a hands-on role combining housekeeping, service and personal support.
 
The successful candidate will take ownership of the afternoon and evening routine, ensuring the home runs smoothly, the family is well looked after and standards are maintained to a consistently high level.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Housekeeping to an excellent standard across the residence
• Serving dinner (prepared by the other housekeeper) and providing attentive service throughout the afternoon and evening
• Wardrobe care and organisation, including laundry, pressing and seasonal rotation
• Offering general day-to-day support and assistance to members of the family
• Light administrative and technology support, such as photocopying, helping with emails and resolving minor Wi-Fi or device issues
• Working closely and cooperatively with the daytime housekeeper to ensure seamless handovers
• Providing occasional weekend cover when required

• Monday to Friday, 2pm or 3pm (flexible start) until 9pm
• Occasional weekend cover, approximately one weekend per month
• Weekend work is treated as overtime, either paid or taken as time off in lieu

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper within a private household
• Confident and polished in serving, with a discreet, professional presence
• Skilled in wardrobe care and garment handling
• Comfortable with basic technology and light administration
• Patient, calm and emotionally intelligent, able to remain composed and attentive within a demanding, high-expectation household
• Flexible, reliable and genuinely service-minded
• Cooking ability would be an advantage, though not essential
• A driver, who can run errands, would be beneficial, though not essential
• Fluent English
• Excellent references from private households
