Part-Time Weekend Housekeeper

Working Hours: Saturday: 4 hours, Sunday: 4 hours, Total: 8 hours per weekend
One of our private clients requires an experienced and reliable Weekend Housekeeper to join a private household. This is a part-time, live-out position covering Saturday and Sunday, 4 hours each day, totalling 8 hours per weekend.
The Role
The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards of housekeeping and laundry care, while also providing confident and capable care for the household dogs. Discretion, trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently are essential, alongside proven hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and ages. The role reports directly to the Houseman, working as part of the wider household team.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning and upkeep of the property to a high standard
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing
- Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
- Changing bed linen and making beds as required
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the home
- Reporting any maintenance issues or household concerns
- Washing, drying, ironing, and folding laundry, including delicate and specialist fabrics
- Organising wardrobes and linen cupboards, and keeping laundry areas clean and organised
- Providing attentive care to household dogs during weekend shifts, including feeding and fresh water
- Walking dogs where required and monitoring their wellbeing
- Cleaning up after dogs and maintaining dog-related areas
- Providing companionship and ensuring the dogs' routine is maintained
Candidate Profile - Previous experience working as a Housekeeper within an UHNW private household or similar environment
- Proven, hands-on experience caring for dogs
- Strong understanding of dog welfare, behaviour, and daily care requirements
- Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills
- High levels of discretion, professionalism, and reliability
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Calm and confident around animals, with a positive and flexible approach
- Experience in a formal private household, pet first aid knowledge, and a full driving licence are desirable
