Salary: c. £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience
 
One of our private clients requires an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to join a busy private household. This is a live-in position offering a self-contained one-bedroom apartment within the main family home, and would suit someone who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautifully presented house to the highest standards.
 
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the property. This role requires a high level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail, ensuring the home operates smoothly day to day. The role works closely with the Houseman and wider household team, with working hours of Monday to Friday plus occasional weekends, covering between 7am and 6pm on a shared rota basis.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning, tidying, and maintenance of the property, including regular deep cleaning
• Care of specialist surfaces, furnishings, and high-value items
• Laundry management, including washing, ironing, steaming, wardrobe organisation, and the majority of laundry including fine fabrics
• Purchasing and preparing groceries and dry stock items as specified by the family
• Maintaining household systems and keeping storage areas organised
• Reporting maintenance issues promptly
• Making beds, changing linens, and managing laundry
• Running errands, grocery shopping, and receiving deliveries
• Light meal preparation when required
• Working alongside nannies and the wider household team, staying abreast of family plans to ensure the house is prepared
• Providing security cover and continuing pet care when the family are travelling, supported by another team member
• Daily dog care, including feeding, washing, and administering medication when required
• Simple flower arranging

• Previous experience working as a housekeeper in an UHNW private household
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and care of delicate materials
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
