St Tropez, South of France (with winter season in the French Alps)
Salary: c. €3,000 net per month depending on experience, plus accommodation.
 
One of our private clients requires an experienced, autonomous Housekeeper / House Manager to take responsibility for two private residences, based in St Tropez with a move to the family's Alpine residence for the winter season.
 
The Role
This is a permanent, live-in position for an ultra high net worth family, overseeing a residence in St Tropez and a chalet in the French Alps. Although the contract is permanent, the workload is largely seasonal. The family are mainly in residence in St Tropez during July and on occasional weekends, and spend around four weeks a year at the Alpine property during the winter season. The St Tropez property is let during part of the summer.
When the family are away, the Housekeeper / House Manager will be the sole member of the household team responsible for the properties, working alongside a full-time gardener. The role calls for someone very autonomous, reliable and meticulous, who keeps both homes ready for the family's arrival at all times.
 
Key Responsibilities

• All aspects of housekeeping, maintained to an exceptional standard across both residences
• Overall day-to-day running and upkeep of the properties, including opening and closing them around family stays
• Preparing the St Tropez residence before and after rental periods
• Relocating to the Alpine residence for the winter season and managing the property during the family's stays
• Liaising with the gardener, contractors and service providers as required
• Light cooking when required

• Extensive experience as a Housekeeper or House Manager within ultra high net worth private households
• Very autonomous, reliable and meticulous, comfortable working independently for long periods
• Exceptionally high standards across all areas of work
• A background in five-star hotel environments combined with private house experience is an advantage
• Full driving licence essential
• Able to live and work in France
• Fluent French
