Studio Director
Kensington, London
Salary: c. £80,000 - £100,000 depending on experience.

One of our private clients requires an accomplished, commercially minded Studio Director to launch and lead a new premium yoga studio in Kensington.

The Role
This is a newly created position offering the chance to build a business from its very beginnings. Reporting directly to the Founder, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the studio, setting its tone, culture and standards from day one, and will be trusted to run it with genuine autonomy.
This is a hands-on position for someone who is equally at home reviewing the numbers as they are welcoming members at the front desk. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial instincts, a natural understanding of hospitality and wellness, and the warmth and presence to build a loyal community around the studio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Holding full responsibility for the studio's P&L, budgets, commercial strategy and financial performance
  • Recruiting, leading and developing a high-calibre studio team
  • Sourcing and retaining outstanding teachers, and shaping a class schedule that delivers a consistently excellent experience
  • Setting a standard of member service that pairs a welcoming, neighbourhood feel with the polish of premium hospitality
  • Building lasting relationships with members and establishing the studio as a destination within the local community
  • Growing the business through partnerships, events and marketing initiatives that strengthen the brand
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the studio, ensuring every detail is maintained to an exceptional standard
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience running a business or venue, ideally within yoga, fitness, wellness or hospitality, with direct accountability for financial performance
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of managing budgets, costs and revenue
  • Experience recruiting, managing and developing teams
  • An instinctive understanding of customer experience and premium service
  • Practical and solutions-focused, with a no-task-too-small approach
  • Warm, personable and sound in judgement, with the drive to turn a new concept into a thriving business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise across competing demands while keeping sight of the bigger picture
Hours & Location
Full-time, five days per week. Based at a new premium yoga studio in Kensington, London.
