Salary: c. £30,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
 
One of our private clients requires an experienced, discreet Housekeeper to join a private Estate in Surrey.
 
The Estate
A substantial private estate comprising a main house together with several further properties, including estate cottages and outbuildings. The role involves a good deal of walking between the various buildings across the grounds, so candidates should be comfortable with an active, on-the-go working day.
 
The Role
Working closely with the Estate Manager, the Housekeeper will take primary responsibility for the day-to-day running of the domestic environment across the Estate and surrounding properties. This is a hands-on position requiring a high standard of work, genuine pride in presentation, and the ability to work with a degree of autonomy. The role is offered on either a live-in or live-out basis, with hours arranged according to the needs of the household and appropriate rest days agreed.
 
Responsibilities

• Thorough daily cleaning of all rooms, including reception rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and service areas, alongside periodic deep-cleaning
• Care of fine furnishings, antiques, silverware, and other valuables
• Preparation of fresh, home-cooked meals for the family, catering to tastes and dietary requirements, and for guests when required
• Management of all household laundry, including fine and delicate items, with oversight of dry-cleaning where needed
• Management of household supplies, liaison with tradespeople and suppliers, and assistance with inventories and seasonal preparations

• Extensive experience as a Housekeeper or Head Housekeeper within UHNW private residences or estates
• Accomplished, competent and used to working to exceptional standards
• Hands-on, with a strong work ethic and no task considered too small
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable with an active role involving regular walking around extensive grounds
• Fluent English
• A confident, capable driver
